Piedmont Regional Dental Clinic is a proud member of the Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics.

Our Founder

Piedmont Regional Dental Clinic was founded in 2009 by retired banker, André Hintermann, a longtime financial supporter of the Madison Free Clinic and the Orange Free Clinic.  Upon recognizing the lack of affordable dental care in the region, André solicited the support of public and private donors to start the clinic for the benefit of Virginians who did not have access to dental care.  He remained actively involved and served on the Board from the day it opened until he retired from the Board in 2021. We remain eternally grateful for his vision, leadership, and financial support.
